Skills & Responsibilities
We’re looking for a self-starter with superb writing skills who wants to tell captivating stories in our blogs, emails, social media posts and ads. Someone with the organizational skills to stay on top of a serious marketing schedule and the creativity to make CNC machines look sexy. Someone who enjoys collaborating with a dynamic team and thinking outside the box.
Our Junior Marketing Coordinator should love good design, have an eye for emojis, and enjoy writing for an audience that wears plaid and breathes sawdust. We’re not looking for someone who knows software; we’re looking for someone who can appreciate a solid web page, a catchy email, and a click-bate-y caption.
Working with the Marketing Manager and Social Media Specialist, our Junior Marketing Coordinator will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of: WordPress website management, automated email marketing, audience segmenting, social media advertising, form-building and lead generation, all while having the freedom to collaborate with our team to write semi-technical articles. Our biggest bi-annual tradeshow, now a hybrid virtual and live show, will be a significant planning and communication challenge this year! Our new junior coordinator should be ready to take it on, with a clipboard and VR headset in hand.

- Educational background in Marketing, or related experience
- Professional email & telephone etiquette in both English and French mandatory
- Excellent writing skills, with a willingness to learn some new technical terms
- Experience with creating email campaigns, using tables or a drag & drop interface a plus
- Experience in social media posting and advertising a plus
- Interest in event planning with excellent organizational skills
- Have a positive attitude that contributes to making Planit Canada Inc. awesome
- Must be very organized, trustworthy, and be able to meet deadlines
- Must be able to travel within Canada by November 2021
