At last, in person events. Although we can’t quite say that it was just like the good old events days that we’re used to (or not used to anymore?) but it sure was nice to be out and about and see the awesome faces that make up our industry, once again.

The AFDICQ hosted its annual golf tournament last month, with players attending from manufacturers and organizations from the Québec City and surrounding areas. In true Planit Canada fashion, we trekked from Montreal to set up our staple booth, with this year’s theme ringing true to golf culture: a spin on the Masters Golf Tournament dubbed #LeMasters.

We wore red – not green. (Hey, Tiger Woods!) We sipped John Daly’s to complete the theme, and we entertained our own golf tournament that required less skills, and more laughs; all on what seemed like the single hottest day of the summer, of course.

The fact was that it was an opportunity for our team to reconnect with association and industry members. An opportunity to catch up on manufacturing activities, exciting news and how the family is doing. An opportunity for us to reunite, and remind us of how tightly knit this community truly is.

We’re grateful to be members of such a great association, and we look forward to this event every year. ‘Til the next one, AFDICQ!

Did you ever wonder why Tiger Woods always wears red on Sundays?

In 25 years of playing golf, one thing about Tiger Woods stands: he always wears a red shirt when playing on Sundays.

“I’ve worn red ever since my college days basically, or junior golf days – big events on the last day. I just stuck with it out of superstition, and it worked. I just happened to choose a school that actually was red, and we wore red on our final day of events. So it worked out.” – Tiger Woods

He’s since then celebrated several wins wearing red, and says that it will never change.

It’s a comfort thing; I can certainly relate!
